In our efforts to keep the community informed and offer convenient ways for the public to request and receive police services, our police department has created a variety of convenient on-line services.

To stay informed, volunteer for the police department, report various crimes or request police services, you can choose one or more of the services below.



Hire Off-Duty Officer
Hire an off-duty officer for your business or special event.

Speakers Bureau Request
Request a speaker or special training for your group or business.

Report a Parking Violation
Report an on-going parking problem that does not need immediate attention.

Request Self-Defense Awareness Training for Women
Specialized personal safety training for women.

Add/Update Business Emergency Contact Information
The police department needs your contact information in the event of an emergency involving your business. 

Request a Security Survey of Your Property
Have a Crime Prevention expert survey your property and give you suggestions on how you can better protect yourself, your family or your business.

Attend a Crime Prevention Seminar
The police department conducts monthly Crime Prevention Workshops on identity theft, back to school safety, real estate fraud, home and business security, and other topics.

Request a Watch Order
If you will be out of town on vacation, you may request a watch order to be placed on your residence by calling 305-861-4862. The police dispatcher will complete the report and an officer, when available, will check your home.

Free Fingerprinting
Call the police department to schedule an appointment for fingerprints.
Fingerprinting is available free of charge to Town of Surfside residents weekdays only from 9-5. Please call to check availability.
