The United States continues to face a severe blood shortage as a result of unprecedented blood drive cancellations across the country amid the coronavirus outbreak. Help save lives! If you are healthy and meet eligibility guidelines, please consider participating in the upcoming blood drive hosted by the Surfside Police Department and OneBlood organization. Residents as young as 16 (with guardian consent) and/or who weigh at least 110 pounds can donate blood.

Blood Drive

When: Wednesday, June 16th from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Where: Town Hall municipal parking lot, located at 9293 Harding Avenue

A limited number of people will be allowed on the Blood Mobile at any given time in accordance with CDC guidelines and social distancing requirements. Masks must be worn at all times. Both the FDA and the U.S. Surgeon General have said it is completely safe to donate blood. Moreover, they have issued a call to action to citizens to come out and donate.
