The Town of Surfside will host its Fifth Annual Surfside Remembrance Events on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, to solemnly honor the 98 lives lost and support survivors and all those impacted by the tragic Champlain Towers South building collapse on June 24, 2021.

The day will begin with a Lighting of the Torch Ceremony at 1:15 a.m. at Veterans Park in partnership with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. The Daytime Ceremony will follow at 10 a.m. adjacent to the building site on 88th Street and Collins Avenue.
