"Mondays with the Manager": Surfside Marks 90 Years with Historic Cocktail Reception at The Surf Club

In a special "Mondays with the Manager" episode, Town Manager Mark Blumstein recaps Surfside’s 90th Anniversary Cocktail Reception, held May 12 at the historic Surf Club, the birthplace of the Town.

"Mondays With the Manager" is Surfside’s video series where Blumstein shares Town updates, highlights local achievements and spotlights important community moments. Episode 4 features highlights from the anniversary event, including appearances by Vice Mayor Tina Paul, Commissioner Nelly Velasquez and many residents who help make the Town great.

Founded May 18, 1935, by members of The Surf Club, Surfside has grown from a quaint beachside enclave into a thriving coastal community known for its rich heritage, small-town charm and natural beauty. Over the past nine decades, it has become a cherished home for residents and a sought-after destination for visitors, all while preserving its unique character.

The May 12 celebration brought together residents and local leaders for an evening of live entertainment at the historical location that honored the Town’s past, present and future.

“Surfside’s legacy is built on more than just its beachfront and architecture. It’s built on the strength, pride and unity of our community,” Blumstein said. “This celebration was a meaningful tribute to the people who make Surfside the exceptional place it is today.”

The Town extends a special thank-you to the team at the Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club for helping make the evening’s event a memorable success. Surfside thanks everyone who participated in this milestone occasion and looks ahead to the next 90 years of community, hospitality and coastal beauty.
