Surfside to Begin Overnight Downtown Sidewalk Sandblasting July 20

The Town of Surfside will begin overnight sandblasting of sidewalks and curbs in the Downtown Business District starting Sunday, July 20, as part of scheduled maintenance and beautification work.

Work Schedule

• Dates: July 20 – August 17, 2025

• Hours: Nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Work Zones

• July 20–27: West side of Harding Avenue from 96th Street to 95th Street

• July 27–Aug. 3: West side of Harding Avenue from 95th Street to 94th Street

• Aug. 3–10: East side of Harding Avenue from 96th Street to 95th Street

• Aug. 10–17: East side of Harding Avenue from 95th Street to 94th Street

What to Expect

• Sidewalk seating and tables are not permitted in active work areas during project hours.

• Street parking will be restricted in work zones while crews are present.
