Summer Sundays Continues to the Rhythm of Samba on the Beach

Surfside came alive on Sunday, Aug. 17 with the vibrant sights, sounds, and flavors of Brazilian culture at Summer Sundays: Samba on the Beach! Guests enjoyed a lively afternoon by the ocean filled with delicious bites—including a traditional Brazilian rice dish and refreshing drinks—while relaxing under complimentary Shibumi shades.

The energy soared with a captivating Capoeira demonstration, showcasing the artistry of this Afro-Brazilian martial art, alongside live music that had everyone moving to the beat in addition to art activities and a book exchange. Town Manager Mark Blumstein was on hand for the occasion along with staff and Resort Tax Board Members Judy Martinez and Eliana Salzhauer. Families and friends took part in fun activities throughout the afternoon, making it a joyful celebration of culture, community, and summer by the sea.

Thank you to everyone who joined us—we can’t wait to see you at our closing Summer Sundays event, Kites & Bites on Sept. 14!
