In the latest episode, Town Manager Mark Blumstein highlights the start of construction of new speed tables and traffic circles across the Residential District. The improvements aim to slow traffic, improve safety and add new greenery to the community’s road features.
“These initiatives are designed to enhance safety while also improving the community’s overall look and feel,” Blumstein said. “We have commenced building out new speed tables and traffic circles throughout our Residential District, further enhancing its aesthetic appeal and quality of life, including new plantings within our road features. We continue to make infrastructure improvements in and around Town.”
Speed tables and traffic circles are widely used in cities to calm traffic, reduce vehicle speeds, improve pedestrian safety, and lower the risk of collisions. They also help guide traffic flow, encourage safer driving behavior, and can add aesthetic enhancements such as landscaping or planters that improve the visual appeal of neighborhoods.
