"Mondays with the Manager": Understanding Surfside’s Special Election Ballot Questions

In this week’s "Mondays with the Manager" episode, Town Manager Mark Blumstein is urging residents to get informed ahead of the Town of Surfside Special Election taking place on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Surfside Town Hall, 9293 Harding Ave.

Blumstein invites residents to attend a Special Election Forum on Thursday, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m. in Commission Chambers at Town Hall, where Town staff will review the upcoming ballot questions and answer community questions.

The forum will also feature the Town Clerk, Finance Team and Underground Design Team, who will provide background and context to help residents better understand the issues on the ballot. The event will also be broadcast live on Channel 663 and streamed on the Town’s website.

“This is your chance to learn, engage and prepare before you vote,” Blumstein said. “Surfside residents play a vital role in shaping the Town’s future, and staying informed ensures that every voice is heard.”

Residents are encouraged to mark their calendars for the vote-by-mail request deadline Oct. 23. And to read the Undergrounding Project Frequently Asked Questions.
