Chief Press, Major Matelis, and Acting Town Manager Diaz met with the Condo and Hotel Board Association representing properties along Collins Avenue to discuss public safety and quality-of-life priorities ahead of the holiday season.
The community engagement meeting covered safety tips for residents and visitors, ongoing traffic concerns, and collaborative efforts to maintain a secure and welcoming environment throughout Surfside. Officials emphasized the importance of communication between Town leadership, property managers, and board members as the holiday season approaches.
Chief Press said the meeting reflects the department’s commitment to transparency and community partnership. “Keeping Surfside safe is a shared responsibility,” Chief Press said. “These conversations ensure we remain aligned with our community’s needs, especially as the holidays bring increased activity to our Town. We appreciate the engagement and support from our condo and hotel partners along Collins Avenue.”
Town officials noted that they remain committed to maintaining open lines of communication with all sectors of the community and will continue holding outreach meetings throughout the year.
