Snowflakes, smiles and holiday cheer filled 96th Street Park as the Town of Surfside Parks and Recreation Department hosted its annual Winter Wonderland celebration on Sunday, Dec. 14.
Families gathered throughout the morning to enjoy ice skating, snowy play areas and seasonal activities that transformed the park into a winter escape by the bay. Children and adults alike embraced the rare chance to experience snow in Surfside, creating memorable moments for residents of all ages.
Parks and Recreation Director Rudy Perez said the event reflects the department’s commitment to creating meaningful community experiences.
“Winter Wonderland is about bringing joy to our residents and creating traditions families look forward to each year,” Perez said. “Seeing the community come together and watching kids experience snow for the first time is incredibly special.”
The Town thanks residents and Parks and Recreation staff for helping make the event a success. Winter Wonderland is one of many family-friendly programs offered throughout the year by the Town of Surfside.
