The Surfside Police Department welcomed residents, business owners and visitors to a festive morning of conversation and connection during its Hot Cocoa with the Cops event, held Tuesday, Dec. 16, at the Surfside Residence Inn Hotel.
The seasonal gathering provided an opportunity for community members to enjoy hot cocoa and light refreshments while engaging in open dialogue with Surfside police officers and Police Chief Charles Press. Attendees were encouraged to ask questions, share concerns and offer feedback in a relaxed, informal setting.
“This event is about building trust and strengthening relationships,” Chief Press said. “When we take the time to listen and connect with our community in moments like these, it helps us better serve Surfside every day.”
The event reflects the Surfside Police Department’s ongoing commitment to community policing and transparent communication. Officers were available throughout the morning to speak one-on-one with attendees and discuss public safety initiatives, neighborhood concerns and quality-of-life issues.
Hot Cocoa (Coffee) with the Cops is one of several outreach efforts designed to create meaningful engagement between the Police Department and the community, reinforcing Surfside’s focus on safety, accessibility and partnership.
Residents and business owners are encouraged to stay informed about future community events by visiting the Town of Surfside’s website and following the Town on social media @SurfsideFlorida.
