The Town of Surfside Parks and Recreation Department will transition to a cashless payment system beginning Monday, Jan. 12, 2026, as part of an effort to improve efficiency, enhance security and streamline customer service.
Effective on that date, cash will no longer be accepted for program registrations, facility rentals or in-person transactions. Accepted forms of payment will include debit cards, credit cards, checks and money orders.
The change aligns with best practices in municipal operations and is intended to reduce wait times, minimize handling risks and provide a more consistent experience for residents and guests. Parks and Recreation staff will begin notifying program participants and facility users in advance to ensure a smooth transition.
Residents and guests are encouraged to plan ahead and bring an approved form of payment when visiting Parks and Recreation facilities or participating in Town-sponsored programs.
For additional information or questions regarding payment options, contact the Town of Surfside Parks and Recreation Department at 305.861.4863.
