Miami‑Dade Supervisor of Elections Partners With Surfside in First‑Ever Municipal Election Collaboration

For the first time in Miami‑Dade County history, Miami‑Dade County Supervisor of Elections Alina Garcia partnered directly with a municipality to provide residents with essential information about an upcoming municipal election. The collaboration with the Town of Surfside aims to ensure clear, accurate outreach ahead of the Town’s General Municipal and Special Elections on Tuesday, March 17, 2026.

Election Day in Surfside is set for March 17, with polls open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Surfside Town Hall, Commission Chambers. Residents are reminded that voter registration closes Feb. 17, 2026, and vote‑by‑mail requests must be submitted by 5 p.m. March 5, 2026.

The Town expressed gratitude to Supervisor Garcia and Miami‑Dade County for the historic partnership and for helping ensure Surfsiders have access to timely election information.

“Your vote is your voice,” Garcia said. “Make a plan and be part of Surfside’s future.” More videos to come.
