Sweetheart Dance Brings Music and Romance to 96th Street Park

Approximately 100 sweethearts gathered at 96th Street Park for the Town of Surfside’s annual Sweetheart Dance, celebrating love, music and community under the stars. Commissioner Gerardo Vildostegui was in attendance.

Hosted by the Town’s Parks and Recreation Department, the family-friendly event featured live music, light refreshments and an evening of dancing from 7 to 9 p.m. Adults and children attended, filling the evening with energy and laughter.

“This evening was a beautiful reminder of what makes Surfside special,” said Rudy Perez, Parks and Recreation director. “Seeing nearly 100 residents come together to celebrate love, friendship and community spirit under the stars is exactly what these events are all about.”

The Sweetheart Dance was free and open to the community. For more information about upcoming programs and events, contact the Surfside Community Center at (305) 866-3635.
