The Town of Surfside and Miami-Dade County continue their historic municipal election collaboration with a second voter education video focused on what residents will see on the March 17 ballot.
Alina Garcia, Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections, appears on camera to outline the key races and ballot questions that will shape Surfside’s future.
“When you vote on March 17, 2026, you’ll help shape the future of your Town,” Garcia says in the video.

The proposed Charter amendments address land-use voting thresholds and future election timing. Full, official ballot language and candidate information are available at townofsurfsidefl.gov/vote2026.
“These decisions directly impact how the Town is governed and how important policies are shaped,” Garcia notes, emphasizing the importance of civic participation.
Election Day is Tuesday, March 17, 2026. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Surfside Town Hall, Commission Chambers.
The Town encourages all eligible residents to review their sample ballot, make a voting plan and participate in the democratic process.
“An informed community is a strong community,” Garcia says. “Review your ballot, ask questions and most importantly vote.”
