Miami-Dade County Primary Election August 18, 2026 Information

Surfsiders please see below important information for the August 18, 2026, Primary Election:

 

  • Monday, July 20, 2026 – The Florida voter registration and political party change deadline for this election is Monday, July 20, 2026. The Elections Headquarters in Doral will be open from 8:00 a.m. until midnight and the Stephen P. Clark Center branch office will be open from 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. for maximum voter convenience. Additionally, any voter registration application postmarked or received at an official Voter Registration Agency by the July 20 deadline will be accepted as valid for this election.

 

 

 

  • Tuesday, August 18, 2026 – On Election Day, polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and voters must go to their assigned voting location. The polling place list and temporary polling place change list for the Primary Election can be viewed here, https://www.votemiamidade.gov/elections/detail.page?mduid_election=ele1746733587003226. The temporary and permanent polling place change lists will be advertised on the Miami-Dade County Legal Notices page. Voters whose polling place was changed are also notified by mail and signage is placed at the original location redirecting the voter to the new location, consistent with Florida Statute. Eligible voters are encouraged to check their polling place, https://www.votemiamidade.gov/elections/voters/information.page, before going to vote.
