The Town of Surfside is proud to announce the appointment of Sandra N. McCready as Acting Town Manager. McCready will serve in the position while the Town Commission conducts a search for a permanent Town Manager, having recently retained recruiting firm Strategic Government Resources (SGR) to assist with the process.
With extensive municipal government experience spanning 28 years, a Masters in Public Administration and more than 15 years of dedicated service to Surfside as Town Clerk, Sandra brings proven leadership, institutional knowledge, and a strong commitment to public service.
Throughout her career, Sandra has gained broad experience in municipal administration. She has served the Town through periods of significant change and challenge, including the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2021 building collapse. These experiences, combined with her years of service, have provided her with a deep understanding of Surfside’s operations, history, and community.
As Acting Town Manager, Sandra will focus on ensuring continuity of operations, advancing the priorities established by the Town Commission, and maintaining responsive and professional services for Surfside residents.
