All Miami-Dade County residents can visit the Miami-Dade County Home Chemical Collection Centers any time during normal operating hours (9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday – Sunday). No appointment is needed. No commercial disposal is permitted.

The large shade tree located within the play areas of the Hawthorne Tot Lot was removed for the safety of the community. Recently, the tree suffered a failure to one of its limbs. Thankfully, nobody was hurt. Photos of the failed tree limb can be seen below.
Thereafter, the Town engaged professional arborists to evaluate the health of the tree. The experts determined that the tree was at risk of collapse within the next three years. The Town made the decision to follow the experts' recommendation and move forward with tree removal in order to ensure residents' safety.Here is the Arborist Report Recommendation by BrightView:
