On Oct. 30, 2024, the Town of Surfside celebrated the launch of its new Citi Bike stations during FDOT’s Mobility Week. Held at the 94th Street station in front of Publix, the ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the official unveiling of one of four new bike rental stations added in partnership with Citi Bike. The event was attended by Vice Mayor Tina Paul, Commissioner Gerardo Vildostegui, and representatives from Citi Bike and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). Commissioner Micky Steinberg was also represented at the event.
