Surfside participated in the MDCLC 13th Annual Best Practices Conference on Wednesday, Dec. 10, joining municipal leaders from across Miami-Dade County for a full day of policy discussions and professional development. Vice Mayor Tina Paul, Commissioner Gerardo Vildostegui, Acting Town Manager Mario A. Diaz, and Town Clerk Sandra N. McCready represented the Town at the event, which featured sessions on regional resilience, cybersecurity for local governments, mental health support, permitting, and legal and ethical considerations for elected officials. The conference offered an opportunity for Surfside’s leadership to engage in meaningful dialogue, exchange best practices, and strengthen partnerships that support effective and transparent local governance.
